Who's Dawood?

Dawood Ibrahim to be precise. In India, he is considered a don. According to a Pakistani news website, he is a wealthy indian businessman. Why is he in news? His daughter is getting married to Pakistani criket legend Miandad's son.
According to India, he is in Pakistan. Pakistan "naturally" denies that.He is a designated global terrorist. Whatever that means? According to Musharaff "Indian muslims have a different perception about the man". That is, different from Indian authorities. Salman claims that he is point man for Dawood & Co in mumbai. I read on a website (Intelligenceonline.net) that atleast 70 prominent Indians sent their gifts through Hawala route. Is it necessary?
What are we afraid of? If we are afraid of extortion, being killed.. do onething, become un-famous, un-rich first.
We are afraid of tax authorities, political parties, Naxalites , poor people because our riches are not legitimate.
